02/02/11

Join us this March in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, on the NIH Campus for the ASBMR Forum on Aging and Skeletal Health, supported by a grant from the NIH National Institute on Aging.

This two-day meeting will provide a forum to share ideas, discuss recent developments and explore the latest advances in the area of aging and skeletal health.

The goal of this meeting is to bring together leaders in research on the biology of aging with those in the bone field to exchange leading-edge concepts in aging research with ongoing and planned studies on the epidemiology, mechanisms, prevention and treatment of age-related bone loss and fractures.

Program Highlights:

Bone accretion during growth

Genetic and modifiable risk factors for bone loss and fracture

Aging-related changes in bone structure and cellular activity

Mechanisms of cellular aging

Physiological signals contributing to age-related bone loss
