Treating Osteoporosis

If you have osteoporosis or low bone density, it is important to work with your doctor to create a treatment plan. FORE is committed to providing you and your doctor with all of the information and resources we have to support your treatment.

Find a Good Doctor - It is important to find a good doctor who will work with you to create an osteoporosis treatment plan that’s right for you. We have compiled a list of resources to help you in your search.

Take Medication - We offer current information on a number of medications that can slow or stop bone loss, increase bone density and reduce fracture risk.

Eat Right - It is never too late to start eating the right foods for optimum bone health. Visit the Prevention section for important nutritional information and enticing calcium-rich recipes!

Exercise - Certain kinds of exercise can help you fight bone loss. Although you should always contact your physician before starting a new exercise regimen, take a look in the Prevention section for some ideas for getting fit.
